The Grove @PDX
OVERVIEW
The Grove @ PDX is a brand extension project I designed for Portland International Airport to provide travelers with a place for relaxation and fresh air. Based on the "prospect and refuge" theory, I created a premium outdoor terrace and seating area between gates D and E that balances open views with quiet, sheltered nooks. The project uses biophilic design - like timber, leather, and living trees - to bring the outside in and reduce traveler stress. I developed a full visual identity for the space, including a custom logo, interactive kiosks, and modular furniture that matches the airport’s modern architecture.
